Mail in Entry Ideas
The most important part of entering sweepstakes – both on line
and offline will be that you follow the rules. Many times there are going
to be abbreviations found in the rules where space is limited. Here are
a few abbreviations to keep your mind working while you are learning
the lingo in sweeping!
1/P - One entry per person (1/P/D=one per person
per day; 1/P/W=one per person per week, and so on)
1/H - One entry per household (/D=per day; /W=per week; /M=per month.)
One entry PP - One entry per person
One entry PH - One entry per household
1/Q - One entry per quarter, or one every 3 months
#10 - Business-sized envelope, measuring 4-1/8" x 9-1/2"
AFFY - Affadavit you need to sign and return to claim your prize
Affie – Affadavit you need to sign and return to claim your prize
A/R - Winner is required to fill out and Return an Affidavit (affy)
ARV - Approximate Retail Value
DOB - Date of Birth
EAB - Entry Also By
E/F/A - Employees, Family, Agencies (when referring to eligibility)
HP - Handprint
J/A - Judging Agency
MSRP - Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price, often higher than FMV
(Fair Market Value)
NAZ - Name, Address, Zip
NAZT - Name, Address, Zip, Telephone Number
NAZH - Name, Address, Zip Code, Home Telephone
NAZDT - Name, Address, Zip Code, day Telephone
NME – No mechanical entries permitted
OEB/OEF - Official Entry Blank/Form
