Entering Offline Sweepstakes

Winning – that is the name of the game.
Getting more for free – it is what we all want.
So how are you going to enter all those offline sweepstakes while not paying a pile of money to do it every month? Here are some great tips on getting the supplies that you need.

Do exactly what the rules say.

When you don’t follow the rules your entry is going to be disqualified. If it says use a post card then use a post card, if you have to hand print your name and address, be sure to do this – mechanical entries are almost always a no no in entering sweepstakes offline.

If you are asked to include your age or birth date, you must do this or your entry will end up in the garbage and not in the potential winners pile. This is one way that companies will weed out ‘who is going to win’ their sweepstakes or contest.

Set yourself a limit on the number of stamps you are going to purchase every month. Following a budget will help you decide which sweepstakes you really want to enter and which sweepstakes just don’t seem kosher so you don’t waste your time and money on entering them. If you are going to spend $37 – this will be 100 entries and that is a lot! Learn to put a limit so you don’t go overboard for the months that you don’t win any prizes. Remember that you are not going to win huge prizes every day, but as the weeks go by your winnings list will increase greatly!

Collecting old envelopes of all sizes from various places like thrift stores, dollar stores, stores that are closing and even in places like yards sales – you can find loads of free or next to free envelopes. If you have a dollar store or family dollar in your area, you can buy envelopes about fifty for a dollar. At Salvation Army stores or at Goodwill stores you can find loads of envelopes often for a quarter or fifty cents. At yard sales you can find old postcard and envelopes at prices that will help your budget when sweeping.

When you are at yard sales, thrift stores or in similar places, look for index cards, file folders and cheap pens or pencils. Often times the thrift stores have various binders, filing systems and pens in bulk that you can buy without breaking your budget –saving you even more money for stamps. When you are out on a trip take a side trip to the thrift stores near your travels to find real bargains!

After you have set your budget for stamps, purchasing the large quantities or rolls of stamps all at one time will help you stick closely to your budget. When you have used up all the stamps for your budget for the month, you are done entering sweepstakes and contests for the month. Give it a try – works great!
