Snail Sweepstakes
Snail sweepstakes? What kind of word is that – some kind of contest
using that slimy little creature the snail? No! The word snail mail has
come about because of the age of technology and the Internet. Because
the postal mail is slower than email the word snail mail was born, and
in relation to this similar wordage, online sweepstakes and snail sweepstakes
are just two different types of sweepstakes that you can enter.
Online sweepstakes are just that – entering your contact information
to enter sweepstakes online. Snail sweepstakes are entering sweepstakes
through the postal mail. There are contests that you can only enter online.
There are also contests which you can only enter offline, through snail
mail entries as well. Yet, there are additional sweepstakes that you
can enter online and through postal entries. Reading through the rules
will tell you what entry means you must use and what your choices are.
Sweepstakes are found just about anywhere that you look on line. Give
aways for items that are small, worth a dollar or two and then there
are those huge give aways where you can win a million or a billion dollars – could
you just imagine?
Walking through your favorite grocery store, home center, and many
other types of retail centers you will find a huge variety of mail in
sweepstakes where you can win just about anything that you have ever
dreamed of. You can find sweepstakes that you can play online or you
can mail in an entry – some with deadlines that are quick and some
deadlines that don’t end for a year or more.
Deadlines are important when you are entering a contest. If you are
sending in a sweepstakes entry and paying the money for the stamp you
want to be able to know that you are getting your monies worth – so
getting it there in time is important. Keeping your sweepstakes organized
once your start entering various sweepstakes will be the key to entering
often and on time. You can use folders, binders, note pads and other
methods of keeping track of what you are sending and when to keep up
on deadlines.
Many hobby sweepers love mail in entries because they feel that less
and less people are taking the time to enter sweepstakes offline. Entering
offline sweepstakes means that you physically have to fill out the form
or post card, or write down your name, i and phone number and mail
it in to the company which not many people have time for these days. |
